I don't think I'll ever truly be able to grasp the whole not liking someone but including them in many of your social gatherings. Yeah, yeah...I know about the "keeping your enemies closer" stuff, but honestly...is that fair to the person at all? What happens when this poor soul, that you profess NOT to like, finds out that you really don't? Isn't it kinder not to include them in things which, in turn, makes them think that you do like them? I'm not saying you need to be mean to them, but why would you (essentially) lie to them?
Apparently, I'm the odd man out on this issue. I'm discovering that many of the people I know find this type of behavior acceptable. I suppose my real question is...how do they really feel about me?
As for me...it just seems kinder to NOT hang out with someone I'm not particularly fond of.
