Father & Son Produce Market

New to Salisbury, and my neck of the woods, is a Produce Market!  I'm excited about this.  The sign went up months and months ago.  We had all but given up hope that it was actually going to happen.  Then, one day, they started moving dirt.  In what seemed like days, we suddenly had our very own Produce Market to visit as often as we like.  Literally.  I pass this place every day on my way to work and home.  I can stop anytime and get fresh produce.  THIS IS AWESOME!

We stopped in the first Saturday Father & Son Produce was open and were very delighted with the variety of items available...not to mention the really good prices.  Add friendly and very helpful staff and we definitely have a winner.

Here's part of the article the Salisbury Post printed in today's paper.  You can find the rest of the article in the link that's attached above ("Father & Son Produce").  However, the best way to see what it's like is to actually pay them a visit.

SALISBURY — The name says it all. Tim Hoffner built Father & Son Produce because, quite simply, this father wanted to work with his son.
Or maybe it was the other way around.
Mark Hoffner wanted to learn the farm business from his dad. But Tim and Linda Hoffner had stopped production on Cedar Tree Farm in Mount Ulla to sell produce full time at the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market.
The 120-mile daily round trip to Colfax was too far for Mark, who has a family in Rowan. So father and son — and mother — went into business together at 1774 Sherrills Ford Road, near the N.C. 150 intersection."
